Nexium Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets treats heartburn and acid reflux. They are suitable for short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults, aged 18 or over.
Caution: Do not use if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
How to use:

The tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush the tablets
May take 2-3 days for full effect
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, contact your doctor.

Warnings
Consuming esomeprazole at bedtime may cause serious side effects (see section 4.5). Get medical help right away if you experience symptoms such as muscle aches, trouble sleeping, or heart palpitations. Stop using this medicine and contact your doctor immediately if you experience serious side effects.
Escape the signs and symptoms of heartburn, and get medical help right away.
Take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed by your doctor, even if you think you are feeling the effects. Do not take this medicine for a longer duration than your doctor has prescribed.

May cause stomach pain, indigestion, or upset stomach. This may occur at the beginning or the end of taking this medicine and go away upon re-administration of the medicine.
Seek prompt medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, such as trouble breathing, hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue, or signs of a severe skin reaction, such as Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS). Get emergency medical treatment right away if you experience any serious symptoms, such as new or worsening symptoms of a fever, new or worsening pain in the joints, joints swelling, sharp- testify rash, difficulty urinating, or changes to your breathing. This may be a sign of a serious drug reaction (see “Other medicines and esomeprazole”).
Do not use Nexium Control if you are hypersensitive to, or have had an allergic reaction to, esomeprazole or any other similar medicine. Check with your doctor if you have any medical conditions, especially the conditions mentioned in this leaflet.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including other herbal products. This may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Do not take this medicine if you are taking nitrate medicines or recreational drugs that contain nitrates (medicines used to treat heart failure). Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines. Nitrate medicines include glycerin, antacids, sucralfate, phenol, and phenylpropanolamine. These medicines may be dangerous if you take them alongside medicines that you use regularly.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you get by accident or without prescription. This may cause false test results or increased side effects.
Use with caution if you have severe heart failure.
Breast-feeding
This medicine is not expected to affect your ability to breast-feed.
